Reentry To Me.... The objective for the message board title is to showcase what transitioning back in the  community looks like for Five Keys staff and to show how connected we are though our meanings to serve.

Check out below what Executive Director, Steve Good's thoughts are on Reentry:

" ReEntry to me begins the first day a person is jailed. Every single day a person is incarcerated  [he/she] should be working towards the goal of reentering to society- this includes reflecting upon what they've done in their past and how they can become better individuals regardless of the circumstance that has landed them in jail. But truly we all can be better individuals. Reentry to me is the process of planning and what you're going to do the first day you get out of jail and the foreseeable future after that day. It's asking yourself the questions do I have a plan that's realistic, do I have a plan that's going to keep me out of harm's way, do I have a place to stay do, I have addiction issues, am I in a safe relationship, do I have a Social Security card and documentation so I can get a job and keep a job? Reentry to me is a process that starts on day one and it continues months after the person has reentered, it's about staying connected to the resources that help get them out in order to keep them out. "
