  • Graduation at ELAC : Please come to support your students as they walk the stage! So far we have over 100+ graduates! Graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30 pm. 
  • Student Transcripts Follow-Up: Please make sure you are keeping track of your students’ transcript requests. If you haven’t seen them come in after two weeks, please email the LA Enrollments Team and cc your Principal to let them know.

STEMCAP OPPORTUNITY
Five Keys is presenting an opportunity to expand our support for staff who want to pursue higher education in a STEM Field.  This program will allow us to increase the number of teachers credentialed in the STEM subjects, thus improving equitable access to high quality education for our students. In partnership with the California Department of Education, Cal State Universities and other credential programs, we will support your education as you pursue a credential in a STEM Field. Our New Program is The STEM Credential Attainment Program (STEMCAP). The completion of this program can result in your obtainment of a STEM field preliminary, professional clear or supplemental credential. Learn more at the STEMCAP VILLAGE INFORMATION SERIES  on March 16th, 2018, from 2:30pm - 4:00pm at Para Los Niños 3845 Selig Place Los Angeles, CA 90031.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH
HIRE LA’s Youth is connecting work-ready young adults to paid summer internships. This opportunity is open to any Five Keys student,   18 - 24 years of age. Interested participants must have the desire to work in a professional environment, be City of L.A. residents and have the legal right to work in the U.S. and must attend a Job Skills workshop on Saturday March 10th, 2018  or Saturday March 17th, 2018 at the University of Southern California.  (for more details visit www.layouthatwork.org)

PIT STOP PROGRAM NOW IN FULL SWING!
Partnering with Hunters Point Family and the Los Angeles Department of Public Works, Five Keys has hired 40+ formerly incarcerated men and women, some being former students, to monitor restrooms in the downtown Los Angeles area. Selected candidates were offered full-time, part-time and substitute positions in the Downtown Los Angeles, South Los Angeles, Wilmington and Venice areas.
